Respectful Relationships

At Raywood Primary School we are committed to explicitly incorporating the Respectful Relationships Program into our curriculum. Each classroom teacher leads their students through regular sessions throughout the year.

The Respectful Relationships program allows our school to promote and model respect, positive attitudes and behaviours across our school and beyond. We aim to teach our students how they can  build healthy relationships, resilience and confidence.

In the primary years, Respectful Relationships focuses on treating everyone with respect and dignity. It is taught as part of the Health and Physical Education and Personal and Social Capability areas of the Victorian Curriculum.

The supporting Respectful Relationships teaching and learning materials have been developed by world-leading experts from the University of Melbourne. These age-appropriate resources align to the Victorian Curriculum and include lesson plans and activities that help students learn and practise social skills and apply them in a positive way to learning, life and relationships.

Raywood Primary School has developed a two-year cycle of topics that cover a wide range of topics and skills to help our students learn about themselves and others. Please click below to access the curriulum overview.
